Frugality is one of the most beautiful and joyful words in the English language, and yet one that we are culturally cut off from understanding and enjoying. The consumption society has made us feel that happiness lies in having things, and has failed to teach us the happiness of not having things.

i love this. since deciding to launch my own business over two years ago, i’ve had zero disposable income and i must say, i don’t really miss shopping. i have what i need and like every other woman, i have moments when i hate everything in my closet but i make it work. there are days that i wish i could buy the thing i am lusting after but i feel bad for one second and move on. it really can be that easy (but i’ve had some practice after all this time)!
